Signs & Symptoms of Lymphoma

Spotting the signs of lymphoma early can make a big difference to diagnosis and treatment. Many symptoms of lymphoma can also be caused by much less serious conditions, such as a common cold or a virus.

However, if you notice any unusual changes in your body that are persistent or worrying, it is always best to speak with your GP.

Common Symptoms:

  • Weight Loss

  • Itching

  • Night Sweats

  • Fever or High Temperature

  • Unexplained lumps in your neck, armpit or groin area known as swollen lymph nodes

  • Fatigue

Less Common Symptoms:

  • Increased risks to infections

  • Adominal pains and indigestion

When Should You See a GP?

If you have a swollen gland that has not gone down after two to three weeks, or if you are experiencing any of the symptoms above without a clear explanation, please make an appointment with your GP.

Having these symptoms does not mean you have lymphoma. Most people with these signs turn out to have something far less serious. However, getting checked gives you peace of mind and ensures you get the right support quickly if you need it.
